SPHS Students Share Humorous Trickster Stories with Marengo Second Graders

On April 8 and 9, SPHS 10th-grade students from Ms. Katie Jaroch’s Honors World Literature and Composition class visited Marengo Elementary School and read self-made picture books to eager second graders.

As part of Ms. Jaroch's Honors English research project on archetypes in world literature, the high school students collaborated on writing and illustrating picture books about tricksters such as Anansi, Loki, and Iktomi, which they read aloud to Miss Lang and Mrs. Kato's second graders.

Go, Tigers and Lions!
