This week, Marengo Elementary students in grades 2-5 entered the world of adaptation and creativity, thanks to an assembly presented by Luke Matheny, a parent and showrunner for the recently released HBO Max miniseries, “Charlotte’s Web.” 

Matheny shared the process of adapting E.B. White’s novel into a screenplay, covering details such as script writing, animation, working with actors, and composing music to retell the beloved tale. He provided a firsthand account of the creative process in a fun, humorous way for elementary students. Thank you to Mr. Matheny for sharing his talents with our students.
