On Thursday, August 10, 2023, California Assemblymember Mike Fong presented the inaugural Outstanding Educator Awards to 17 local teachers including two from South Pasadena Unified School District.

 

Congratulations to April Chang, 2nd grade Mandarin Dual Immersion teacher, and Linda Park, 2nd grade Mandarin Dual Immersion English teacher, who were nominated for the award by Marengo Elementary School parents. The award recognizes educators from the 49th Assembly District who have displayed dedication, passion and tireless efforts to empower and inspire the next generation of leaders.
