www.americanmemory.org Contains Library of Congress digitized images relating to American History. There are also primary sources posted at this website. There is a section for teachers and one for students. These images are royalty free, so you can avoid copyright infringement.

www.geographyzone.com Where in the world…? Students can take the Geography Challenge…it’s free! Teachers can sign up as a classroom or students can sign up individually for membership. Members represent over 190 countries and more than a million students have participated in the world’s largest online geography contest! Classrooms compete with other school teams worldwide, and kids can test their knowledge of countries, capitals, rivers, and mountain ranges.
